At an old folks home, senior citizen Weller Martin meets fellow resident, Fonsia Dorsey and teaches her the game of Gin Rummy, a charity that wins him no end of grief. Over a deck of cards, these two lonely, quirky people exchange opinions of society, families and the indignities of growing old. A delightful blend of poignancy and wildly comic turns, the Pulitzer Prize winning story offers many surprises and leaves us with many questions about the hand we are dealt. (Please note: The Gin Game contains strong language and the Lord's name is taken in vain.)
