A dramatic comedy by Stephen Metcalfe, Strange Snow begins as Megs arrives to take his buddy David fishing at 5 a.m. Having served in Vietnam together, they had vowed to honor the memory of one of their pals who didn’t make it back by going fishing on every opening day of fishing season. Determined to snap David out of his self-destructive alcoholic silence about the war, Megs is surprised to run into Martha, David’s biology-teaching sister/housekeeper. A budding romance develops between Megs and Martha, as together they try to help David move on with his life. The three are past youth, giving themselves a last grab at the brass ring; self-aware enough to be timid, yet brave enough to try. This play is filled with humor, humanity and heart, as timely today as it was in the post-Vietnam era. *Adult Language
