Coaster Theatre Special Events

In addition to our regular season of plays, Coaster Theatre hosts many events and workshops throughout the year, including:

Random Scraps of Fabric: A Green-Inspired Fashion Show
June 3 at 7:00 p.m. $10 at the door: cash/check only
A Fashion show by Bonny Gorsuch displaying garments and accessories all created from 100% recycled textiles and fabrics.  Tickets available at the Cannon Beach Gallery or at Coaster Theatre Box Office.

Vesta - A Staged Reading
Friday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. ; $10 cash/check only
Vesta, by acclaimed playwright Bryan Harnetiaux of Spokane, WA, is an intimate 90-minute drama that examines with humor and warmth an ordinary family's struggle with end-of-life issues.  As her health declines grandmother Vesta Pierson confronts her inexorable loss of independence.  Vesta, her daughter, and granddaughter face a series of complex medical, economic, and personal issues associated with this challenging time of life.  Manzanita resident Liz Cole directs and also reads the title role. 
 

 

Talkback Thursdays

During the run of our regular season performances, Coaster Theatre will be hosting Talkback Thursdays, a new program that allows theatre patrons to take an inside look at the process of creating a show. These performances start at 7:30 pm and conclude with an informal Question & Answer session with cast and crew. A special ticket discount of $14 for adults and $8 for students is offered for these unique Thursday events, so come down to Coaster Theatre to discover more about the theatre process.
